Martin founded Martin Hailes Design in 2013 with the desire to create a design studio dedicated to always doing what’s right for clients, and doing away with the agency bulls**t.

He began his career as a Mac Operator at Micropress Printers which provided an invaluable knowledge into the world of print…something designers today don’t seem to be taught much about.

Since attending Lowestoft College and Norwich University of the Arts, Martin’s 20+ years of agency and printing experience has included time spent within design agencies in both Norfolk and Suffolk.

Notably, Martin has worked with clients such as Kerry Foods, Norwich Union, Hughes Electrical, World Heart Federation, Wellington Construction, Agency Express, Serena Hall Artist Southwold and British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry to mention a few.

He combines an eye for detail with an obsession with typography, design for print and identity design.

Martin is very much of the old school, often blabbering about Mac Quadra’s, Syquest disks, film separations and camera ready artwork!

Away from the studio, he recently hung up his competitive swimming goggles…for a 2nd time having swam for Suffolk and competed at both National and European Championships. 70's & 80’s music and film are anothter love, but unfortunately his daughters don’t seem to agree.

Connie is thrilled to have joined the team at Martin Hailes Design and is looking forward to dealing with new clients and getting stuck in to fresh creative projects and developing with the company.

After studying BA in Graphic Design at the University of The Arts Norwich, Connie headed closer to her home in Suffolk to start her career as a Designer.
She gained professional experience during her time at Uni after being offered a placement at Saville Parris Wakefield in the beautiful village of Mellis, working with the team on material for the re-release of New Order albums.
From graduating to starting her new career just a week later, Connie got stuck into agency life straight away working in a busy studio environment. She was part of a large team working on multiple projects covering Advertising, Print and Web and now has over 10 years experience.
Connie took some time out from her career to start a family which has reshaped her life. She now takes pride in being a working mum and loves the diversity she has between her work and home life bringing up a lively toddler.
Outside of work she loves to go on new adventures with her partner and little boy, who loves to spend hours being creative (eating playdough) and climbing multiple stairs in soft play. When she finds time to take time out she likes to go to classes at the Gym including Zumba & Pump and also swimming, along with spending time with friends (usually eating lots of cake and drinking tea).

Becky, Social Assistant

Becky looks after the social marketing for us here at Martin Hailes Design, and manages all our company social media channels including Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. She helps us create engaging online content, and ensures all our social channels are kept up to date and brand focused, as well as looking for new social avenues and ways of connecting with our customers online. She is also a whiz at creating online marketing campaigns and eNewsletters that are sent out to our customers on a regular basis with exciting business updates and news.

After finishing studying Theatre and Performing Arts at university, Becky headed off to London to start her career as a Personal Assistant.

Her career started out working for two founding partners of a small, niche data agency in London. Working alongside, and fully supporting the two partners, and the rest of the company, she was part of helping the business go from less than 10 employees, to being part of one of the largest Advertising Agencies in London, and with that changing her 10 year journey from small scale PA to senior EA, finally working for 5 CEO's

Becky prides herself on her ability to be able to juggle multiple tasks and projects at the same time, always delivering punctually and with exceptional attention to detail. Her know-how and capacity to think before they think and do before they ask has helped her career go from strength to strength.

Taking time out to start a family and raise her young children re-focused Becky, and she decided to move away from the Big City and start working on a virtual basis. This opportunity has opened up a new world of opportunities, including joining Martin Hailes Design!

Outside the office, Becky is generally running around looking after her busy household of husband, two kids and a dog! When she does manage to find time for herself, she enjoys good food (and wine!) and cooking for her family and friends. She also always has a passion for heading to the theatre, and perhaps one day she will tread the boards again, but for now she enjoys watching her daughter in the spotlight instead.
